Editorial Board Development Policy
Nova Geodesia was founded through the initiative of researchers from Romania, particularly from universities offering Bachelor’s programs in Land Measurements and Cadastre, as well as Master’s and PhD programs in Geodesy and in related or complementary fields such as cartography, GIS, environmental sciences, urban and regional planning, and agricultural land management (learn more about the journal’s origins and purpose). The journal emerged from a clear need to strengthen research and scholarly communication in these interconnected fields, fostering interdisciplinary and even transdisciplinary collaboration to address complex scientific and societal challenges.
The Editorial Board will continue to be strengthened as the journal develops, with a particular focus on attracting new members from Romania, the Balkan region and other parts of the world, to enhance the journal's international reach and disciplinary diversity. In addition, the journal is committed to supporting early-career researchers globally by involving them in editorial activities, fostering their professional growth, and expanding their opportunities for collaboration in the international scientific community.
