Editorial Board Development Policy
Nova Geodesia was founded through the initiative of researchers from Romania, particularly from universities offering Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programmes in Land Measurements and Cadastre, Geodesy, and related or complementary fields such as cartography, GIS, environmental sciences, urban and regional planning, and agricultural land management (learn more about the journal’s origins and purpose). The journal emerged from a clear need to strengthen research, scholarly communication, and international cooperation in these interconnected fields, while providing a visible publication platform for research from Romania, Southeast Europe, the Balkans, and the wider international scientific community.
The journal seeks to maintain and further develop an Editorial Board with appropriate disciplinary expertise, academic standing, editorial experience, institutional diversity, and international representation. The composition of the Editorial Board is reviewed periodically in relation to the journal’s scope, scientific development, ethical standards, and the evolving needs of the research community.
Nova Geodesia also supports the professional development of early-career researchers through appropriate opportunities for peer review, scholarly collaboration, and supervised participation in editorial activities, while editorial responsibility and decision-making remain with suitably qualified and experienced editors.
