March 2021 — Launch of Nova Geodesia
In March 2021, Nova Geodesia was launched as a quarterly, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Society of Land Measurements and Cadastre from Transylvania (SMTCT).
The journal was established to support scientifically sound research and international scholarly communication in geodesy, geospatial sciences, and related interdisciplinary fields, with particular relevance to Romania, Southeast Europe, and the wider international research community.
Since its launch, Nova Geodesia has provided immediate open access to its published content and has not charged authors submission, peer-review, or publication fees.
